Post-Acute Wound & Skin Integrity Council (PAWSIC) Video Contest Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: June 1st, 2025

By submitting a video to the Fresh Voices in Wound and Skin Care: A PAWSIC Speaker Showcase (the “Contest”), you (“Submitter”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions set forth by the Post-Acute Wound and Skin Integrity Council (PAWSIC):

1. Eligibility

  • Submitters must be PAWSIC members at the time of submission. Free membership is available to students, CNAs, families, and patients.
  • All ages 18+ are eligible. Participants under 18 must submit with parental/guardian consent.

2. Submission Requirements

  • Each video must:
  • Be between 2 and 3 minutes in length.
  • Address educational topics related to wound and skin care, designed for patients, families, or CNAs.
  • Mention PAWSIC, display the PAWSIC logo, or verbally acknowledge the organization.
  • Be evidence-based; citations must be submitted if applicable.
  • Not include protected health information or violate HIPAA.

3. Usage Rights and License

By submitting, you grant PAWSIC and HMP Global a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to:

  • Store, edit, and use your submission for promotional, educational, and internal purposes.

  • Share and distribute your video on:

    • PAWSIC’s website and member-only portals

    • HMP Global marketing and promotional channels, including email campaigns, social media, and websites

    • PAWSIC’s social media channels (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)

    • Educational events and webinars

  • Allow your video to be posted publicly for voting and engagement as part of the contest.

  • Attribute your name as the creator when published unless anonymity is requested in writing.

    4. Ownership

    • You retain full ownership of your original video content.
    • PAWSIC reserves the right to continue displaying, sharing, or repurposing submitted content indefinitely.

    5. Consent and Certification

    By submitting, you certify that:

    • You are the sole owner or have all necessary rights to the content submitted.
    • You provide full consent to PAWSIC to use the material without further permission or compensation.
    • All individuals appearing in your video have provided written consent for public display and dissemination.

    6. Judging and Awards

    • Videos will be judged on creativity, clarity, educational value, and engagement.
    • Winners will be announced on PAWSIC’s platforms and may receive recognition, certification, or prizes as described in the contest rules.

    7. Disqualification and Removal

    PAWSIC reserves the right to reject or remove submissions that:

    • Are deemed inappropriate or off-topic

    • Violate copyright or contain unverified claims

    • Misrepresent PAWSIC or wound/skin care information

    8. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PAWSIC, its officers, board members, and partners from any claims arising from your submission or its use by PAWSIC.

    9. Amendments

    PAWSIC may update these terms at any time. Continued participation indicates acceptance of any updated terms.
